Michael W. Browarnik has been the "financial architect" of highly-complex structured finance transactions on behalf of some of the most significant sponsors and projects in the real estate industry. Mr. Browarnik has been operating a real estate investment and merchant banking company since 1988.
The third generation of a Miami hotel family, Mr. Browarnik began his career in the late 70's, establishing himself as one of the premier leasing agents in Downtown Miami. In 1980, he became Director of Property Management for a venerable 70-year old full-service real estate firm, growing the division from dormancy to a viable force in the marketplace. In 1983, Mr. Browarnik joined forces with a successful real estate investment banking firm as Executive Vice President, where he concluded over $1/2 Billion of transactions during his tenure there.
In 1988, Mr. Browarnik formed a capital services company which included leasing & management, residential mortgage finance, title and insurance. As part of that effort, in 1990 Mr. Browarnik entered into a joint venture with a prominent Beverly Hills real estate investor to operate and grow the investor's Florida portfolio of real estate assets, managing approximately 1.5 million square feet of space. Subsequently, Mr. Browarnik and the investor formed a new full-service real estate leasing and management entity, growing the company to approximately 4 million square feet of space.
In late 2002, Mr. Browarnik entered into a joint venture with one of the most well recognized CPA firms in the State to create an investment banking and advisory services firm. In its first year of operation, the company concluded in excess of $1/2 Billion of equity and debt transactions.
